It is a well-known and undeniable fact that the party system is composed mostly of organizations that are atomized internally and disconnected from the outside world.
Staircases for some, elevators for others, all leading to the spoils of public office.
Giant recycling machines of disgrace…
Political parties are servants of the past, often poured into recycled cups. A carousel of options from A to B, where the least bad wins, or where the opposition holds the patent to promise doing more and better, without knowing how to deliver, or caring to learn.
They embody no collective agenda, they fail to grasp the present moment, they forge no emotional bond with the public mood, they fail to notice that the country has changed, let alone that these changes are as profound as they are irreversible.
The current party model is on its way to becoming a museum piece. In a technological world where digital direct democracy is already being discussed, on a planet where people buy and pay using mobile devices with facial recognition, consulting citizens on a daily basis has become easy. A digital referendum costs almost nothing and delivers instant results.
Democracy in its purest form, in step with the times.
It is time to put an end to this political intermediation, to this kind of politics and this kind of politician. It is costly, poor in quality, and deeply shameful.
Let us replace this class of politicians with class-conscious politicians committed to the nation.
Let us build power from the bottom up, from the heart of our people to our institutions.
The so-called “seat of pins” will never remain empty. Either patriotic decency fills it, or the darkest interests that have always lurked around it will, or worse, some insular Chavista offspring whose agenda is to have no agenda, whose government plan is a chimera in sterile and outdated minds rowing against the currents of the times.
The cave in military uniform.
For if the organizations that dominate the national stage are incapable of regulating and managing their own internal affairs with efficiency, of being genuinely democratic, of building succession, how will they ever govern a nation? A task immeasurably more complex, delicate, and demanding?
They turn the state into a war prize, parties become job agencies with exclusive access to the public payroll, displacing competent and experienced professionals in favor of whoever shouted loudest or campaigned hardest.
Unstoppable factories of absurdities, detrimental to the health of the nation.
How can anyone be so shortsighted as to believe that the country’s problems can only be solved with the human resources of THAT party? It is as foolish as believing that all the talent and capacity in the country chose to join that one organization.
Do they hold sole ownership of the nation’s collective talent and capability?
The country’s problems affect us all, the solution must come from all of us. The BEST this country has to offer must serve in government. The finest team possible. The national Dream Team.
Thousands of professionals, entrepreneurs, and honorable, accomplished men and women living abroad, returning to serve a national project.
I assure you, for a true project of national refoundation, talent and capacity will not be lacking.
With a clear vision of the country we want and need, we must rethink and REFOUND everything. To cite a simple and basic example:
Why is:
∙ A) The Ministry of Agriculture not located in Moca or San Juan de la Maguana?
∙ B) The Ministry of Defense not in Dajabón or Elías Piña?
∙ C) The CEA not in La Romana?
∙ D) The Ministry of the Environment not in La Vega?
∙ E) The Ministry of Tourism not in Higüey or Puerto Plata?
∙ F) The Ministry of Energy and Mines not in Monseñor Nouel or Sánchez Ramírez?
∙ G) EGEHID not in San Cristóbal?
∙ H) The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, or the Free Trade Zones Council, not in Santiago?
An agenda genuinely embraced by the healthy part of this country, in the hands of its most competent and upright men and women, regardless of political affiliation, race, color, or gender. Only their ability and integrity should matter.
A permanent council of the nation’s wisest minds, drawing on the accumulated experience of its elders, combined with the vitality and boldness of its youth. No good Dominican is expendable or can be left out.
The Government of MERITOCRACY AND LOVE FOR THE COUNTRY!!!
IMPOSSIBLE TO FAIL!!!!!
